Één van hen verzuchtte: "we should do this every day".
Tuesday 25 of July, our last day in Svalyava. In the morning we went for the second time to the orphanage with the children which are a little bit older. It was great to see them again. We had a lot of fun with each other and we gave them the rest of the presents: a couple of (child)bible's, clothes, kitchenstuff, attributes for sports and games, a mount for the television we gave earlier this week and don't forget the 540 orange wuppies (see photo). Saying goodbye was hard for us all.
In the afternoon we went to the center of Svalyava to buy some souvenirs and have a delicious lunch. After the lunch we asked the waitress if she could read something from the Ukrainian bible with us. On our way home we went to the supermarket. Just as we went earlier to the market for some building material, the paintshop and the electronicastore, we did some drama plays so we make clear what we needed. After this we finished the painting job on the fence of the church and we visited another church. This church was completely built from wood and is build in 1200. Even the nails were made out of wood!
After diner we played for the third time a game of soccer with the local children of Svalyava (and for the third time we won!). Especially the soccer qualities of the ladies made some impression on the opponents, and against Ukrainian traditions they also shook the girls hands. After the soccer game we asked the boys to stay al little longer so we could tell them about the love of our God, we did this through mime, singing songs and spread a little book called 'the most beautiful present in de world', it is writen in Ukrainian and is summary about our believe in a nutshell. After this we study the bible at the campfire with our brother's and sister's from Svalyava. One of them was saying "we should do this every day". A (little) bit earlier then normally we went to bed. At 6.30 am our wake-up call is set for our trip back home.
